The 3038 Q street building was constructed in 1906-1907 as the Calvary Methodist Episcopal Church South.

In 1939 the name was changed to Aldersgate Methodist Church to distinguish it from Calvary M.E. Church on Columbia Rd. NW.

Just before WW1 Andersgate Church purchased 3040 Q st. for its pastors. It has been used by at leat 10 pastors until 1954 then it was sold.

The church was sold about this time to the Bible Presbyterian Church Congragation.

In 1960 it was bought by Church of Two Worlds (NSAC).

The Church of Two Worlds was established in 1936 by the renowned minister and medium, the Rev. H. Gordon Burroughs, author of Becoming a Spiritualist.

The land at 3042 Q st. was owned by Calvary Methodist Episcopal Church. The land was vacant until it was sold. A building permit was issued for this land in 1936.
